About
My name is Alli and I am a fully qualified and certified Equine Massage Therapist. I trained through the internationally recognised Equine Massage Academy, which is recognised as the 'gold standard' in training. I am a local to the Wealden district of East Sussex and cover East Sussex and into surrounding counties.

I have been around horses since I was a young girl they have always been a huge passion of mine. I have 30 years experience working with a wide range of breeds and disciplines.

Equine well being is something that is very important to me. I love helping the horses that I treat and seeing them thrive in their work and everyday life. I continue to undertake regular CPD to further my knowledge and keep up with current information. I then use it in my practice to provide the best quality service to my clients.

Every horse is an individual and should be treated as one. I tailor my massage and aftercare to match the needs of both horse and owner.

Alli is a fully qualified and insured equine massage therapist. Her training allows her to detect and treat muscles and muscular related problems and how areas of tension may impact on a horses well being. She is not a veterinary surgeon and will recommend that a horse is seen by a vet if she deems that this is appropriate and/or if the conditions found are outside of her professional field.

To work within her duty of care to both you and your horse, if your horse is currently under veterinary care Alli requires veterinary permission prior to treating your horse (Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966), this can be gained by a phone call to the vet from the horses owner.

If your horse is currently in good health, veterinary consent is not required however to work within her duty of care Alli will ask you to confirm the practice your horse is registered with and they will need to be informed if any pathologies are identified during assessment and treatment.

If Alli attends an appointment and is unable to treat the horse, as they need to be referred to a vet the full treatment cost is still due.

Travel costs are included within 20 miles of BN8 6HA. An additional 80p per mile may may be added thereafter.
  • Under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 Alli advises owners to inform their Vet of her visit, and owners are required to seek permission if during an injury/illness/recovery period.
  • The horse or pony must not be fed at least 1 hour before and after treatment and must be in a clean, dry condition.
  • The horse or pony may be ridden prior to session but allow 1 - 2 hours rest prior to appointment to ensure they are completely dry and relaxed at the time of their treatment.
  • The area to carry out the treatment should be clean, quiet and as free from draughts as possible.
  • It is preferable to have a handler present with the horse at the time of treatment. Owner or main carer should be present for initial consultation to discus horses history.
  • The client must contact Alli as soon as possible if the horse is showing signs of a contagious infection or if any other horse at the yard or who's been in close contact are showing signs. Alli maintains strict biosecurity measures to avoid the spread of diseases
